will you travel?

Absolutely! Jessica Elyse Events is based in Pittsburgh, but will go wherever you're planning!

how do you decide who to work with?

I take on a limited number of weddings each year so I can provide a highly personalized experience. I truly believe the planning process is a partnership, so I look for couples who value collaboration, trust, and open communication. My goal is to ensure we're a great fit for each other because that ultimately creates the best experience and wedding day possible.

can you work within a budget?

Yes! I focus on helping couples spend intentionally. We'll identify your priorities early on and build a budget that reflects your vision, ensuring your investment is working where it will have the greatest impact.

what details should we have confirmed prior to hiring you?

The basics are perfect: an estimated guest count, preferred date or season, budget range, and any venue considerations. You don't need all the answers—that's what I'm here for.

Do you limit the amount of communication we have during the planning process?

My couples receive a highly personalized planning experience with ongoing support throughout their engagement. While I maintain healthy boundaries to ensure I can serve all of my clients well, you'll never feel like you're navigating the planning process alone.

Do you work with preferred vendors?

I have a trusted network of vendors that I love recommending based on their professionalism, quality of work, and client experience. However, you're never required to work with a specific vendor, and I'm always happy to collaborate with professionals you already know and love.

my venue has a coordinator. why do i need a planner?

A venue coordinator and a wedding planner serve two very different roles. Your venue coordinator's primary responsibility is managing the venue, its staff, and venue-related logistics. As your planner, my focus is entirely on you—overseeing all vendors, managing the timeline, handling details, solving problems, and ensuring your vision comes to life from start to finish.

how far in advance do you book out?

Most of my couples reserve their date between 12 and 18 months before their wedding, though I occasionally have availability for shorter planning timelines. Since I intentionally limit the number of weddings I take on each year, reaching out early is always the best way to secure your date.
